Saved! (2004)
I was going to talk about how Saved! is a meditation on hipocracy and cognitive dissonance trapped inside a teen movie. Then I was going to write about how Christians shouldn’t complain about the way the members of their religion act in the movie any more than Jews can complain about the single Jewish character representing their faith. Then I was going to list the surprising cast (Jena Malone, Mandy Moore, Mary-Louise Parker, Macaulay Culkin).
But that was going to be too much work, so I decided to just say that it is worth seeing. I don’t like many teen movies these days, I relate to more mature movies these days. To me, the fact that I liked Saved! means it must be pretty good.
