What a Week

In a world where lawyers are generally lower than pond scum, and defense lawyers even worse, the worst of the worst died of a brain tumor in his home and some people, somewhere, for some strange reason, were sad. Not me.

Elsewhere, in a hospital surrounded by a media circus sideshow made up mostly of jesus freaks leeching onto the brain-dead in order to get a glimpse of their 15 minutes of fame, a girl who has been braindead for 8 years (after almost killing herself by sticking her fingers down her throat one too many times) was finally mercifully put to rest. Imagine the torture she would have been experiencing if she was, in fact, not brain dead. Imagine being kept alive by a feeding tube when you were almost dead because you were starving yourself. Imagine the insanity that would ensue from being trapped in a useless body for 15 years. Terri died years ago, but if she hadn’t she would have been praying for death. Thank God that is over and a big “fuck you” to her parents for making me know her name and having to see and hear this horrible spectacle. Shame on you.

And shame on the Pope. I can’t imagine he could have done enough good to outweigh the bad he did, protecting child molesters in the church, upholding so much of the evil and hipocracy of the church that goes against everything it claims to be about. I was actually happy when I heard he died but then I realized they’ll name another “infallible” leader soon and he won’t be any better. But at least a little good entertainment came of it: THE 52 FUNNIEST THINGS ABOUT THE [formerly] UPCOMING DEATH OF THE POPE
