One of the reasons why I left Rhapsody for Yahoo!Unlimited was because I have been a vocal proponent of Rhapsody and their business model for years and have offered constructive and helpful advice along the way and have felt like I was completely ignored. When the latest version was released, it was like a slap in the face. Not only did they ignore almost every single problem I have reported, they also converted to the Napster system, which I just didn’t like.

I know that I’m not some great, important person, but I have been louder about my love for Rhapsody than for almost any other software and I think I have done enough to deserve a little more attention from Real. When the newest version of Rhapsody was released without me knowing in advance at all, I felt like my love for Rhapsody wasn’t appreciated. If it was, wouldn’t my suggestions (and they were good ones) be implimented? Wouldn’t I have known about it beforehand so I could have helped promote it better when it was released? Apparently not. And there are only 2 reasons I can think of for this: 1. Because I’m not big enough to matter or 2. because they just don’t care.

Maybe it is both, but this evening I visited THE Rhapsody playlist site, The Rhapsody Radish, and saw that I am not alone. The Radish was definitely big enough to matter, so #1 doesn’t apply in this case. That leaves only the second option: they just don’t care.

From the looks of this page, The Rhapsody Radish was stopped because they felt that Real just doesn’t care. Unlike my site, the Radish deserves Real’s attention and still didn’t get it.

I was kinda hoping I was wrong and the Radish was getting all the attention I wanted from Real… I guess not.
