“sirshannon” != “Sir Shannon”

Tom Jones can be knighted, apparently but I am an American and therefor can never be knighted.  Which means I will never be “Sir Shannon”.  Nor have I never claimed to be.  sirshannon is 1 word, all lowercase (even when it was listed in the local phone book).  To even capitalize the first letter would be to assume a little more glory than I feel I deserve.  For the last 10 years, sirshannon has been spelt just like that: sirshannon.  Please don’t assume I claim to be a knight.  I don’t.  Never have.

But when I found out I couldn’t, I did cry a little on the inside.  Damn it.
