I am glad I was out of town last week because the most constant staple in my diet is “bag o veggies” but the #2 item is “bag o spinach” which has apparently become infected in some places by a cowshit-bourne disease call E Coli.  The problem isn’t really due to the spinach, it is due to someone along the line of harvester-to-packer-to-inspection-to-packer-to-shipper that has some raw cow shit that comes in contact with the spinach or the bag the spinach is shipped in.  There are multiple brands that have this contamination and it has caused 60 or so people to be sick and at least one old lady to die.  I am young and somewhat healthy so I would probably have lived but still…

When the healthiest thing I eat, which also happens to be the most frequent thing I eat, starts killing people because of germs-o-cow-shit, Something is very VERY wrong.

And I am glad I was out of town because I didn’t eat my normal spinach-centric diet and avoided the deadly cow-shit-germs.

But I wonder how often my spinach has been infected with non-deadly cowshit germs…  hmmm….
