The 5 gallons of gas we found in Atlanta yesterday wasn’t going to last long, this is a roadtrip, after all. So we scoped out the stations on the way to visit my sister an hour south of ATL.

I thought the Asheville show was good until tonight’s show. They didn’t play an encore and the set list was the same as last night’s (including a bit of a riff in Ghostface’s “Kilo”) but the show was about 30 minutes longer than last night. And everything about it was better.
I didn’t realize finding gas in Atlanta was going to be a problem or I would have stopped before hitting Empty in downtown ATL during rush hour. The only station we found with gas was down to 2 working pumps, regular unleaded only, cash only, and had dropped the max limit to 5 gallons. The [...]
This is the line for gas at the top of an exit ramp in Asheville, NC today. The line took a right turn at the top and continued for a block before finally disappearing into a gas station that I couldn’t actually see from the top of the ramp. Luckily, we weren’t getting gas.
It was a “short” show, according to a lot of people there but damn it was good.
