Vote Early, Vote Often
I never understood why people would vote for “the lesser of two evils” until I saw John McCain turn from the man I wanted to vote for 8 years ago into a man I am completely afraid of now.
I didn’t mind when G. W. Bush was first “elected”; I preferred him over Gore. I don’t think many of us were capable of predicting how much evil Bush and Cheney could get away with, let alone attempt, in 8 years but we are no longer the same innocent prosperous nation we were when Clinton left office. We KNOW what a powerhungry administration is capable of now if power and money are all that drives them. And when I saw McCain stand before the Republican National Convention performing as a puppet, repeating the lines written by the same pens that wrote the lines Bush smugly recited in the times we needed an honest, intelligent, and capable leader, I knew EXACTLY how evil, damaging, dangerous, and completely out of his own control McCain will be if he is elected
And that scares the shit out of me.
And so, this year I will be casting my vote against McCain in the best way I know how: by voting for Obama. I will not be voting for the lesser of two evils, because I do not think Obama is evil. I am sure McCain’s new masters are. And I feel I must do what I can to prevent any further damage to my great nation. Enough is enough.
The sign in the photo is at Obama Headquarters here in my hood (Elizabeth) in Charlotte, 28204. I won’t vote often but I will vote early. And then turn my attention towards helping others vote and get the word out about why this election is so damn important. But probably just by donating cash, because I am still a lazy bastard
