it was an incredible show - but yea definitely shorter than what i was expecting. i read another blog where they played for 2 and 1/2 hours! i definitely would have loved to hear more - but it also got me back to greenville at a decent hour and i'm not dragging butt at work today!
if anybody is contemplating on seeing them - just go! my wife has never heard or seen them before and she was absolutely blown away by the drummer and very impressed by their musical skills! (and we were really hoping cedric was going to jump into the crowd and kick some a$$ for whomever threw something on stage!)

Ok, first off, you people are so mean. Taking stabs at each other because you all have differing opinions. I heard that Kurt had dabbled in satan worship and that his religion had been buddhism. Now, I believe that the satan worshipping part was thought up by these "Christian" extremists who forget to judge not lest ye be judged and that they are looking to spew hate and not love. Same way with Westboro Baptist Church, who are carrying the message of Christ falsely. So, let's try to understand that Kurt Cobain was a drug addict and how that was his only downfall. Addiction can be a horrific thing to go through. And there is evidence to support the fact that he was married by Courtney Love. Eldon Hoke from the Mentors (AKA El Duce) was offered a nice payday to off Kurt. So, quite frankly, I'm a little skeptic about the suicide ruling and think Seattle PD should reopen the case and investigate further.

Comment on Why Does HBO Hate Me? by Angela Bartels

I completely agree with this. HBO has nothing left to offer it's viewers. I was a major Carnivale fan, and was incredibly disappointed at it's untimely cancellation.

I couldn't help but notice that HBO only has 2 remaining shows, both of which suck ass - there's really no point in even subscribing to HBO anymore when there are far better shows on prime time television who aren't scared to run 8 seasons worth of material or with Showtime coming out of the woodwork with their own set of original series.

Even the selection of movies being ran on HBO are tired or overplayed, back to back - and the "On Demand" HBO is actually wasting space with things like "The Making of [insert movie title here]". It's ridiculous.

I think HBO underestimates what it's viewers want. They assume that all we want to see gratuitous sex and infidelity, violence, money, drug usage, fast cars and high fashion - and maybe that's what sells for the majority. Personally, I think Carnivale got the shaft because it didn't contain enough of those things, instead it contained a story line that involved thought and emotion - couple those qualities with a storyline that forced you to question of the existence of higher powers that lie far beyond our comprehension as mere humans... I guess the majority would rather see a pair of tits. It's really upsetting to me.

I can only hope that someday HBO will let Daniel Knauf complete his story the way it was meant to be told or atleast let him have his story back so that he can find someone who will.
