Charlotte Interactive Gas Map

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Okay, so apparently this gas shortage isn’t just in every city I’m roadtripping through, it is also in full effect in Charlotte, the city I left Tuesday. Luckily, I am always ready for adventure.
Via the CLT Blog’s Twitter account, here is an interactive gas map for you to mark stations you know have gas [...]

The Great Southbound Gashunt Adventurama

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

The 5 gallons of gas we found in Atlanta yesterday wasn’t going to last long, this is a roadtrip, after all. So we scoped out the stations on the way to visit my sister an hour south of ATL.

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Gas Line on the Exit Ramp

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

This is the line for gas at the top of an exit ramp in Asheville, NC today. The line took a right turn at the top and continued for a block before finally disappearing into a gas station that I couldn’t actually see from the top of the ramp. Luckily, we weren’t getting gas.

American Investors Causing Peruvian Unrest

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

This was emailed to me by a great guy and incredible artist, David Hewson, who has spent the last year or so living in Peru.  I have still heard nothing about this except for a 2-sentence mention late at night on BBC World News via my local NPR station.
As most of you know I have [...]

McCain’s Big Mistake?

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Obama chose a running mate that would help defend against many of the attacks leveled at his inexperience and lack of foriegn policy chops.  Apparently against his own better judgement, McCain chose a female with so little experience she makes Dan Quayle look qualified.  I assume this is a ploy to try to get Hillary’s [...]
